medela swing problem??

anyone using swing?

I havent pumped for a couple of weeks and had left my bits in the milton. Didnt think it would do any harm., but... there seems to be a prob with the bit like a funnel that goes on your boob?... It was clear and now its not seethrough anymore? And if you scrape it with your nail you get a filmy white stuff come off?!

Anyone else had this? Do you think i should wash, scrape and resteralise? Or throw away and try to get hold of a new one from somewhere??

I think I would give it a good scrub &steralise and see how that goes as long as its sterile shouldnt be a problem

i steralise mine in the steam steraliser and they get warped eventually, so i bought a load of them, and just replace them every other week... this site is fab for spares...

If you don't change Milton within 24 hours everything goes like you say (as I found out lol!) Kind of goes greasy, takes a good scrub but should be ok but wanted to add mine also went a funny shape quite quickly so I got one off expressyourselfmums and thats all plastic so is better IMO.
