They are super handy whether you FF or BF... They dont stay tiny for long and I know even my arm would be dying from her weight when I was FF...

Plus like the others said its great for tiny babies having naps, or practicing sitting up for older babies.... And now Jasmine just crawls around and over it haha... great obstacle for her.

I have a v-pillow. It was very useful during pregnancy when I would wedge it between my legs and under my bump in bed! But it's been utterly invaluable for BFing, which is why I originally got it. I find it quite tricky to BF without it when out and about. And Jack loves napping nestled in it too! When he falls asleep nursing I just move him and the pillow together very slowly onto the bed and leave him to sleep like that lol

I have a v-pillow too, got it cheap off eBay (to be honest you can tell, its ripped and the stuffing comes out but I bought a case for it and just bang the lot in the washing machine lol!) I got the v one because thats what they used in hospital lol no other reason, it's only the past week we've started using it, my DD's getting a bit heavy and she loves falling asleep on boobie and having a snuggle so it holds her weight for me.

I made my own from a pattern online http://sewityourself.googlepages.com/
I have to say its identicle to the boppy type of pillow and I stuffed it with 2 flat bedroom pillows that I pulled apart, then made a cover for it, I couldn't do with out it I had a c section so really need the padding across my lap, I have seen an inflatable one in boots for about 10 pounds if you need a cheap option but don't want to make one.

We do this, too!
It's been great for helping to keep him from rolling over and waking himslef these last few nights, too.

Thanks for all the replies, it's much appreciated

I have now added one to our online wish list and just last night OH's mum was asking what we have on there so perhaps i'll be the proud owner of a feeding cushion sooner than i thought! I guess i can always use it for support for me in the meantime, like a few people have suggested.

Thanks again ladies.

P.S. Love the photos shifter, he's just scrummy!
