If you look on the 1st page the champions that are able to help with relactating are - rafwife
ToriaaaaTRASH
kellysays2u
MervsMum
Logiebear

I'd suggest PMing one of them as I think Rafwife has a lot on her plate atm.

Laurie - you and I have been talking about a plan of attack so I'll carry on as your champion if you want.

Serina - I know we have spoken about this and you are getting some good results from your fenugreek but I also think Sarah88 would be a good champ for you. Can you PM her and make contact?

Saturday night I came down with a temperature and sore boob and figured I had a blocked duct. I've had it before (this pg and the last) but it went away quite quickly - first time I pumped it away and felt better within an hour, second time I massaged and although my temp came down quickly my boob was still sore for a day, but I thought that was likely because i was massaging very firmly.

This time was a bit different - no amount of massaging, hot compresses, frequent feeds, pumping shifted it and Saturday night & all day Sunday I was running a fever and boobie was killing me. I was all set to go to the doctors Monday morning, but I woke at 5am covered in sweat but feeling normal, and my temp had gone back down. Boob was still a bit sore.

My worry is that although I feel fine, could I still have a problem? I keep feeling my boob to see if it's soft like the other one and I'm feeling it so much I'm making it sore Also all the frequent feeds from that side have meant it's slightly larger than the other now and so feels harder when full, which gets me panicky a bit. So do you think that if I don't have a temp/rash I should be ok, and what's the best way to even up the old joanna's again? I can only relieve the bigger one by feeding from that side and I'm afraid to leave it and focus more on the other one in case the problem comes back. Does that make sense? Sorry, I feel I haven't put this into words very well!
Magic - did you get sorted with this or shall we post it as a thread in the main section to see if we get some more responses??

I'm sorted thanks! No more blockages - I think my left boob is still bigger, but not noticeably so. Thanks for checking up on me!

magicvw - when i had mastisis i had a similiar problem with the one boob bigger than the other thing. On the up side, i think tbh it's just something you notice more than anyone else does, guess it's because we're looking down on to it . As for the feeding i just kept offering both boobs at each feed and they just sorted themselves out. As it is my daughter now prefers the other boob (the one i didn't have mastisis in) anyway. think it took 2 maybe 3 weeks to sort out .

Would anyone like to be my champion?

I have been trying to relactate for nearly two weeks now after a break of a fortnight just after Josh was born.

We got off to a great start with breasfeeding and my little one seemed be be doing really well. We were discharged from the hospital and things started to go wrong from there.

We were readmitted about 9 hours later - he was refusing to feed and was lethargic and dehydrated. I tried to express some milk for him to see if I was producing enough milk but my nipples were so damaged and bleeding (he had bitten me quite badly in frustration when the midwife attempted to get him to latch on when we came back in) that I was advised to stop breastfeeding and switch to formula.

We were in hospital for another five days and he was treated for an infection. We are thankfully home now and hes doing fine.

Hes having one bottle of expressed milk a day now and I am taking mothers milk plus to try and boost my supply.

I am also strugglig to get him to latch on now - even the comfort sucking has stopped!

I'm just after some moral support and advice - its been hard going so far and someone to cheer me on would be fantastic
