Breast reduction and successful BFing?

I underwent a breast reduction operation 10 years ago and I am a bit worried it will stop me from breastfeeding. The surgeon told me at that time that they would take extra care not to damage the milk canals (sorry I'm not very good at BFing jargon!

) but tbh, I didn't really pay much attention to what he said... I was 19 and not broody at all!

I would appreciate to hear about mums who got a breast operation and successfully manage to BF. Or weren't able to. Or chose to FF for breast-related reasons.

I dont have any info for you hun but I do know that there are options for you... I think theres an herb called goats rue that is supposed to help build milk producing tissue. But I dont think your supposed to start it till after birth. Hoping you are able to breastfeed if that is what you want hun. But dont blame yourself if it doesn't work out you can still bond with your baby just as well formula feeding.

Didnt want to read and run hun. I'm not up on this at all but I wanted to say I am sure with the right support and determination, you will be able to do it!

Don't have any personal experience but a girl I met through ante natal had a breast reduction and managed to successfully breastfeed. I think she managed a month at least.
