how to increase feeds?

Rebecca was finally diagnosed with silent reflux 4 weeks ago but i'm convinced she was suffering for quite a few weeks beforehand.

she used to take 5-6 oz's 5 times a day really well but then started to be a really fussy eater ( due to the pain of silent reflux) she would scream after an oz and would take ages to eat. to keep her calm we would try to distract her so she didnt associate the bottle with pain.

well the medicine she is now on seems to be working but she still takes ages and ages to take her bottle. she will take 3-4oz's in one go but then will only take more if she is fed from her bouncy chair, dont know why she wont take any more whilst being held

any ideas on how she can take more in one go?

try and hold her upright while u are feeding her, its hard to do and feed her at the same time but it is possible, also, try winding her every few oz, just to make sure she doesnt have it building up

also, when u have made up ur bottle and warmed it and are ready to feed her, loosen the lid a bit, apparently it makes it easier for them to suck it out, sometimes when leyley's feeding she has the first few oz but then it gets harder to get the milk out so she leaves it, maybe its the same for rebecca?

reflux is horrible, leyla has it too, hope she feels better soon

x
