My month resolution

Ok, I am ready to crack down on myself about breastfeeding exclusively and pumping! I'm now plenty stocked with Guiness, Fenugreek, and a new Medela Pump in Style Advanced Backpack! Drank a Guiness last night and tonight. Took Fenugreek twice today, and am pumping/feeding every 1&1/2 - 2 hours. I'm determined to increase my supply enough to stop supplementing ANY formula, no matter how small an amount. My goal is to do this within ONE month. I also bought a nursing cover up, so I can nurse in public places without feeling awkward and without struggling with a receiving blanket. Please everyone wish me luck. So far while pumping I'm not getting too much milk, but I also am BF'ing her, and I hope as I keep going, it will increase steadily.

Please wish me luck, I was originally planning on exclusively BF'ing, and its driving me nuts giving her any formula. I feel like I'm making a new years resolution LOL.

Sounds wonderful! But I didn't see anything to do with baby in the list of things you are going to do!

Remember the VERY BEST way to get your milk to come in, is to get baby on that breast to suck. OFTEN OFTEN OFTEN.

Take an entire weekend or a few days off (if you can) and just lie around - watch some movies, read a book or whatever and get baby skin to skin with you and allow her to suck whenever and however long she wishes.

I would wager that with the stuff you are already doing, if you did this for 2 days straight, then allowed her to suck on your breast often beyond that, your milk would be up to production in a week to 10 days.

That's a good point, because a human dummy for a few days, shall work

That's if you have no latching problems?

Thanks girls. I've still been BF'ing her, and letting her comfort suck when she will. And we co-sleep most of the night (mostly on Erica's demand since she usually refuses to sleep in her own bed), so I let her suck while we both sleep.

I also bought organic Mother's Milk Tea. Its supposed to promote healthy lactation and increase milk supply. LOL I called DH from the grocery store and told him I got it. He was like, "Geez your gonna have milk pouring out of you soon with everything you are trying!"

Hopefully these things will work!
