Exclamation

Glob in my breastmilk???

Today I noticed a lumpy thing floating in the milk as I was pumping but when I pulled it out of the bottle it was a pretty large glob almost consistent of snot... It's white and a little bit clear. I had that on my other nipple once but it was small and I wasn't too worried about it...
I thought maybe it was a wet scab from my cracked nipple but it was far too large... what the heck is it? Has anyone else had this before? Should I be worried?? I will be going to see a lactation consultant today because i'm totally weirded out. I hope it's not another yeast infection!!!

Those 'stringy bits' can come from a blocked duct releasing and are more common than you realise. Much more noticeable if you are expressing, they usually come out unnoticed. In the absence of any other pathology, absolutely nothing to worry about.
