Increasing Milk supply

Well i'm struggling to keep my milk supply up. I'm on motilium and lately have been trying to pump every 3 hours (it's been dfficult with the moving and unpacking, errands etc). Today i'm lucky to get one bottle from both breasts!! Lately i've been getting about one 60ml bottle per breast each time I pump but thats still not enough. I'm drinking and eating and trying to get as much rest as I can without feeling lazy. What else can I do to increase my milk supply? There's ladies at the hospital who are pumping out like 4 bottles each time.
Im having a hard time keeping up with angel I don't even have sore breasts or engorged breasts. What am I doing wrong

Hi
Is Angel at home now? Getting lots of skin to skin contact should help to increase your supply. Some people take fenugreek as a supplement to increase their supply or Domperidone (prescription only).

Not sure what else to suggest, has Angel managed to suckle from you yet?

it also depends on the pump you are using!

in hospital they have those high efficiency pumps, what you can borrow from the NCT as well.

maybe that's why?

as well the suction cup needs to have the right size!

Im on the best electric pump out there and I have a larger breast shield because the regular size was too small. Im on domperidone (motilium). I am breastfeeding once sometime twice a day with angel in the hopital. Shes coming home sunday or monday so im hoping once shes home and breast feeding each feed it will help. Ive been off domperidone for almost 3 days because it ran out and my supply dramatically decreased. I will try anything thats safe to inscrease my supply....

I would not think that it dries out so quickly and as she is coming home soon it should be fine. might be you have to add formula until your production has increased again, especially as it is very important for Angel to eat enough
I'm sure you will check with hospital anyway

good luck

TurboMom how are you doing? Any luck with the increase in breast milk?
I have started expressing and don't seem to be getting much at all. Was hoping someone here might have some experience/story about how they increased here supply?

Mango, once you get to about 6/8 weeks you'll be able to get loads. Remember that your little one doesn't need much with each meal, they eat little but often at this stage.

How are you getting on? I was on domp to bring up my supply, it messed up my cycle a bit but did the trick. When I stopped taking it (I was taking more than they prescribed and it made me feel away with the fairies!) I started taking a decent dose of fenugreek. Apart from smelling like maple syrup/curry(!!) it also helped with my supply. Oats are good for your milk, so get snacking on those oatmeal cookies
