Hello everyone!
I will try and remember this as best I can! Some bits are a bit blurry but I'll get OH to fill me in as we go!
At 6am on Thursday morning I woke up with OH getting ready for work and thought I had better get up too, as soon as I got up I had what I thought was a contraction... Didn't want to mention it to OH as he would just panic and I had agreed with myself to leave it as long as I could so he wasn't scared for too long!
So once OH went to work and DD was off to school I decided that I had better go into town and get some shopping in just incase I was in labour, I popped into my work to see some workmates and sat there for about an hour by this time I was getting mild contractions about every 10 minutes so i thought I had better move and get some shopping!
The contractions were still 10 minutes apart all the way round ASDA! Then when I came home I decided to try and sleep for an hour just incase I was going to be up all night, I managed a couple of hours but was still getting pains 10 mins apart.....
This went on for a good few hours then around 9pm they were about 8 mins apart. I was using contraction master online to time them and then decided to write them down, I sent OH to bed and I followed him at around about 12am but by then the contractions were 5 mins apart....
So I rang the labour ward and was told to make my way in, so dropped DD off at OH's mums and made our way through to hospital.
I arrived there at around 3:30am and was examined and was only 4cm! Cervix was still really thick....
My cervix had been lying at 3cm dilated for about 2 weeks so I expected to be alot further on than this!!
We were sent into a lounge where there was chairs, birthing balls a TV etc and told to just keep mobile to try and move things along, by 8am the pain was getting really bad so they examined me again and I was still 4-5cm!
They decided then to move me up to the labour ward so I could get some pain relief which is where I got my gas and air!!
I was out of it for a good couple of hours, OH fell asleep for a while on a huge bean bag but that was ok cos I was really happy!
I was examined again at about 12pm...... STILL only 4-5cm!
Bring on the Diamorphine please!!!! This didn't even take the edge off the pain, I honestly couldn't remember the pain being like this last time.
At about 2pm I was losing the will to live! They kept trying to get me to eat something for some reason! I sent OH out to get some air and food, while he was away I had asked my MW to arrange an epidural, my labour was going so slow that I just didn't think I had the enegry to carry on with it.
So she rearranged the room so it looked more like a hospital room (it was all bean bags and stuff at first) and called the anesthetist.
OH came back with magazines and supplies cos like me he thought we were going to be there alot longer!
MW then decided to examine me again and found me to be 8cm! Yay! She then asked if i wanted my waters broken and I said yes.
Then everything went a bit crazy, I started pushing and couldn't stop! The MW's just had time to unwrap the birthing pack and Daisy appeared! One of the MW's said that it was like she all came out in one go really fast! She was born at 3:10pm weighing 6lb 11oz

after 33 hours of labour!!!
So because it all happened so fast I ended up with a 2nd degree tear and had to had surgery to repair it but of course she was all worth it!
I think my OH Neil just stood there in shock through the whole birth cos it happened so quickly but he was amazing and I couldn't have coped without him!
We are now at home and I am loving being a mum again, I forgot how overwhelming the love you feel for them is!
So if you are still reading this thank you!! I know it's long!
Here's a few photo's of Daisy.....
Saying Hello to Daddy...
