Firstly thanks for all the wonderful messages and for Tam for posting my news, I wasn't going to post pics originally but I would like you all to meet the new addition to our family.
My birth story.
I started getting mild pains at 8am on the 8th february, and thought nothing off it, at 11am they were getting worse so I rang delivery who told me to try and rest and come up to maternity when I felt I needed pain relief, by 8pm they were so bad that I couldn't wait much longer, after getting to the hospital I was examined and said to be 1cm dilated, after gas and air (which worked wonders for a while anyway) and some dia morphine, I tried to get some sleep which was hard when my contractions were 4 mins apart, at 1am I had a show and another examination followed at 4am where I was found to be only 2cm, I tried to relax and had some more dia morphine to take away the edge and at 8am after another examination I was 9cm, by 9:30 I was 10cm so they broke my waters, I started getting the urge to push at 10am and Jasmine arrived at 12:30pm on the 9th february weighing in at 6lb14 and a length of 48cm, I tore quite badly so had to go to theatre at 2pm to have stiotches and was kept on ward 9 until 3:30pm today, she had her first bowel movement in the amniotic fluid and they clipped a fetal monitor to her head during labour as I had to give birth on my side and they were struggling to pick up for heart beat.
