First birthday/christmas

Hi all,

I've just been looking for some good christmas and birthday pressies for Bethanie, but im finding it quite hard. Obviously I don't want to waste loads of money on stuff she won't really play with when I could save it for her instead.

I have this in mind for christmas:
http://www.toyshop.24studio.co.uk/pa...=4&source=SX1A
http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-644982702/type-i

I haven't even started thinking about her birthday (19th December).

Help please!

I got Charlie a push along trolley with bricks in it.......huge hit, I also got her a trike, but she was too tiny for it, and I got her a 'baby' which she loved. It was the Zapff one from 1yr. For christmas (2 months before) I got her a Lottie ladybird (similar to the catapillar) and she has only just started to like it, although its now waaaaaay to slow for her!
I got her lots of books, and small bits and bobs.

Thanks Hels, id like one of those brick things for Bethanie.. where can I get them from?? Mothercare?

I've also found these (probably won't be able to afford all this though lol, but we will see as we spoil her loads lol):
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...=UTF8&mcb=core
http://www.johnlewis.com/Nursery/Gif...7/Product.aspx
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...71031&mcb=core
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...71031&mcb=core
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...71031&mcb=core
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...71031&mcb=core
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/32751...n/Product.html

EDIT - Well; I added all those things up, and it came to £202.88! so I don't know if it's really worth spending that much on her when she is so young! think we will not bother with a few more of the expensive things such as the Bi-lingual learning table!

I got the trolley from ELC I think. I personally wouldnt spend that much!

Charlie liked all the basic stuff really, a drum from boots, the bricks, and I got her some stacking boxes that graduate in size, with numbers on, she loved them.

Id just keep it simple!

Thanks girls,

Ok, i've got her presents down to this stuff:

http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...=UTF8&mcb=core
http://www.johnlewis.com/Nursery/Gif...7/Product.aspx
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...71031&mcb=core
http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/32751...n/Product.html
http://www.toyshop.24studio.co.uk/pa...=4&source=SX1A
http://www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-644982702/type-i

Also considering these:
http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-40566?&parent_category_id=531
http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-34289?&parent_category_id=760

Got the price down to £162.91 LOL so not a major difference, but bearing in mind these are things for both birthday and christmas!

You think im still paying too much? ah I never knew a first christmas/bday could be so stressful lol. Worrying im buying her crap toys, I want things she will learn from etc!

LOL we were thinking that, ok knock off £30.. £132.91, which is not too bad I suppose.. we're headed in the right direction bearing in mind that a few weeks before xmas I will go mad lol.

You're right about the trampoline though Yvanne, I was thinking the same with the baby assault course too.. I said to my boyfriend "sod it, we'll just get a baby paddling pool and fill it with those balls".
