I'm Currently Feeling:

Grunting baby

Thomas had a bad night last night, he kept us up from 3am with his constant grunting.
Do you think it could be wind?
He does a few burps after a feed and farts for england lol.

I'm also worried he's slightly constipated too, he poos every day or two which I know is normal but the poo is quite hard and he seems to struggle and grunt and go red in the face whilst he's trying.
I've read about tummy massage and moving his legs slowly in a cycling motion so will be giving them a whirl later.
We are trying to get a little cooled boiled water down him each day but he's not daft and after a couple of sucks he knows he's being conned and it's not milk lol but will keep trying that.

You girls have experience so any advice would be appreciated.

btw he's formula fed on SMA Gold

not much advice on teh grunting, but as for water, try giving it to him off a spoon? or out a sterile syringe pain in the ass but works!

I've started introducing a bottle to Aeryn and we are using SMA White. She's stopped pooping so much and when she does it is very thick and solid even though she is mostly breast fed. I thought it was jsut a formula thing but I might try Cow and Gate next time.
