What items/things do you use to comfort/soothe your baby?
I'll start first:
A paci/dummy
Use a swing
or hold her walking around the house singing.

I'm Currently Feeling:  | I use a dummy (which she hates) then I talk to her, play with her, then if all else failos I feed her. That usually does the trick! |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Firstly of course (if it isn't feeding time) I check her bum, check she doesn't have wind then I try the boob. Almost never fails but if it does:
Over my shoulder tapping her bum. Fails..
Then.. Rock her from side to side, quite quickly, but not too quick. Fails..
Then.. Back over my shoulder rocking back and forward. Fails..
Then.. I hum to "hush little baby don't you cry.."
If all of them failed I think I'd have a heart attack.. |

I'm Currently Feeling:  | Usually IŽll try the dummy first, wind, nappy and bottle.
If its not any of the above, IŽll stick him over my shoulder and walk around with him singing, or hold him close to my boobs and rock him side to side singing - I think its me singing that shuts him up, IŽm sure he nods off to sleep just so IŽll shut up singing to him!! | | | | Status: Offline
