Baby Proofing Tips from Experienced Mummies please

My is trying desperately to crawl!
Yikes! So I think I may need to baby-proof a little sooner than expected.

I have the standard tips but was hoping for some experienced ones too and I hope it might be helpful for anyone else at the same stage!

Thought I'd get the list going:

1. Stair gates (I think that's what they are called)
2. Sharp corners to be covered
3. Medication / cleaning agents well out of reach
4. Hot items (coffee cups etc) out of reach
5. Small items out of reach (coins and anything else swallowable - is that a word?)
6. Handbags (that may have meds etc) out of reach
7. Plug socket covers
8. Play pen ready!

Anything else? Please add!

Thanks!
Munchy x

Catflaps - Love it!
I'm sure my Ryan would crawl through a catflap if we had one.... I have a feeling he's going to be one always looking for an escape route!

Check under your sofa for anything small enough to put in your mouth.

Trust me, if its there, they'll find it!!! :-)

Mothercare are usually a good place to get a starter kit from for baby proofing. The cupboard locks are the best thing ever!

Good Luck!

Yes, cover catflaps.. Bethanie has started putting her toys and tea towels through it recently! Im always worried bits are going to get caught in it.

Definitely drawer/cupboard locks (safety 1st make good cheap ones).

Plug covers
