Thanks, beanie. I love that pic too - Got that when we were still in hospital, she had been chewing it and then it just slipped out and rested there so I just had to get a snap of it looking like she was thinking! One thing about being in hospital so long was that there was literally just her me and the camera 90% of the time, so every good photo opportunity and I was straight in there! lol

I did both, mainly breast but if people came round both my 2 had formula it suited me and them, also formula at night it helped us all to get a better night's sleep. I stopped with both at bout 8wks-they got the good stuff. Thats what worked for me you've just gotta do whats best and for some people they feel more comfotable with formula from the start x

I am so grateful that you put can't breastfeed on the poll. So many people looked at me as if I didn't care because I didn't breastfeed. It really is a matter of cannot breastfeed because it would cause too much harm to my baby and I would rather prevent harm to my baby than breastfeed and risk harming my baby. If I could have breastfed then I would have.

I have to take mental health tablets and levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid all of these tablets are no good for breastfeeding. I even went to a La Leche group and the first time I went there I was told I was not welcome back because I wasn't breast feeding. The group leader even went to the trouble of checking that my tablets were unsafe for the baby even after I told her that I'd looked into it myself. She soon found out what I already told her. I felt like people completely discriminated against me.

Take no notice of ignorant people Mickie. All that matters is that you know you did what is best for your baby

with both my children, i tried to breast feed. i totally think its the best! but after a few weeks of trying, i contracted mastitis. it was so painfull i had to stop BF

I want to BF with this one but i think im gonna get mastitis again! i will try tho! the first milk is the best! but as soon as the mastitis starts appearing, im going to have to change onto bottle.

if you can breast feed, do it! its the best!!!

I breastfeed both my boys to a yr. It was just easier for me. For some reason I can't make a formula bottle to save my life.
