I was just reading on bottle rot, and it says it can be caused by formula too. Not just juice. The formula turns to an acid-like substance on the teeth after sitting in the mouth for a prolonged period of time, and it said that the best way to prevent it is to give them a small amount of water to rinse it off their teeth.

But anyways, I've been giving Colton juice out of his bottle since he was ... 3 weeks old? around there anyways. He isn't of tooth-bearing age yet though, so I really dont know what to say to help. I guess I should probably stop giving him the juice through it soon though.

Another member mentions the cup with the removable handles. I have a set like this. My mom got it for Colton for transitioning to food. It came wiht a 2oz bottle that had nubs on the nipple for soothing teething, and then a 4oz cup with removable handles and the sippy part (where the stuff comes out) is soft, instead of hard, for easier transition. It really does look neat, even though I haven't used it yet.. you could try getting something like that. If you haven't tried that, yet.
I just looked and they are "Nuby" bottles/cups.

We have one of these and its great

We tried all sorts but nothing was very good as they were non-spill which ment Noah had to suck really hard & just ended up chomping!!

These are great 85p in Tesco, easy to drink out of and spill proof when you shut the teat/spout so can just chuck in your bag with no worries!

I see kiddies with bottles a lot! Didn't realise and maybe others dont how much of a no it is although as someone pointed out even the milk carton suggests being aware of the rot! So maybe its a case of just looking after her wee gums?!

She hates the hard cups

Connor has used the Avent cup from being about 10 month old, and still loves it. I'd recommend that!
