That's a myth, it doesn't matter when you give them, if they have an allergy they have it if you give them peanuts at 1 or 5. The specialists on allergies told my Mum that. My brother never had peanut butter until 5, he'd never had peanuts before he went into shock. He is allergic to peanuts.

I think I got that advice because my daughter has a serous allergy to peanuts (has to carry an epipen)...I know what you're saying it wouldnt have mattered what age and my daughter never had peanuts in her life but I think I would prefer (thats not the right word) for an older child say 3-5 having an anaphalacytic reaction than a baby

So I will continue the no-peanut rule in our house till at least 3 years old

I think you can introduce eggs at around 6months so you should be fine x
