Kina are you trying to get Ella to spoon feed herself now? what age can we start doing this? Ella likes to pretend and feed me with a spoon! bless! dont think she could feed herself though without making a mess.

I've just been letting her feed herself finger foods like veggies, pasta, strips of chicken breast, rice, fruit. For lunch I'm going to do her cheesy scrambled eggs on toast fingers (she can have her highchair in the kitchen with that!!).

ah right I get you now Kina. Ella will feed herself finger foods, infact she prefers to feed herself than be spoonfed. She makes me laugh when Im sat on the sofa eating she comes over and helps herself to food from my plate!

I was naughty the other day she shared our mc donalds, she absolutley loves chips and she had a chicken nugget and some burger bun. oh and she ate my gurkin hehe.

do you think a few chips once in a while is ok ? the rest of the time she eats health proper food.

I've given Ella a couple chips when we're out to keep her happy - and she likes the burger bun and tomato and things from inside (went to Wetherspoons the other day to meet some mums). If I am eating something I have to hide it otherwise she's like your Ella and she'll crawl over to nick it!!

We used to give Jade a boiled egg with either bread or toatsed soldiers......she loved it as she was able to feed herself and refused to let me feed her with other foods from that point on, she became very independent very quickly! x

Right these are really easy and tasty Plus a lot cheaper than the little packets of cheesy biscuits (those farleys ones!).

Yon need equal quantities of plain flour, butter and grated cheese. I used 6oz and that made lots.

Rub the butter into the flour and make it into a breadcrumb texture. Add the grated cheese and form in a ball of dough, if it's too sticky add a little more flour. Ball it up, wrap in polythene (I put it inside a bag) and put it in the fridge for 20-30 mins. Flour your surface and rolling pin then roll out the dough and either cut into strips or use a cutter to make little biscuits. Cook on about 180 for 10 mins (until nice and golden). They're really tasty and Ella enjoyed them aswell
