Rash help needed - updated

Charlie's been off for a couple of weeks. Constant cold, cough, not happy bunny. He was running a temperature of 39.1 on Wednesday, but Calpol brought it down, and today he's back to his normal happy self.

Apart from a strange rash......

He woke up with it. It's only on his tummy and back. It's lots of tiny spots and they are slightly raised. None on his arms, legs, face or nappy area. Doesn't seem to be itching him either.

Thing is, I ran out of washing powder and had ran out of clean vests. Popped to the local shop and they didn't have the stuff I normally use, so I bought Persil Small and Mighty. Only Charlie's vests, and 2 pairs of white jeans were washed in it, then he wakes up with this rash today. He had a clean vest on overnight.

Do you think it's that? Or should I take him to be checked out? I would be more worried if he was miserable, but he seems okay. Odd.

Sorry, the photos aren't great - have you ever tried taking photos of a rash!!!

It looks a bit like a heat/allergy rash but I am paranoid about rashes & always like the doc to tell me there is nothing to worry about. Hope it clears up soon x

That really looks like an allergey/heat rash hun
If it is still there in a couple of days when you've changed washing powder back i would get him checked

Jack gets them quite often if something of his has got in with our clothes

It's so hard remembering rashes and stuff with huge age gaps isn't it?

Thanks both. I've rewashed everything in some non-bio now.

Strange thing is that I've been washing Charlie's clothes with ours in whatever is cheapest in the supermarket for about 8 months now. A few bits of his got mixed in with ours and he was fine, so I just stopped seperating it. He's had no problem at all. But, i haven't used Persil before, so I'm thinking that's what it is. I'll know more tomorrow morning. If it's worse, I'll ring the docs.

Ony thing i can think of is that the small and mighty has a strong fragrance or conditioner in with it
Haven't use that so i don't know

I always used to come out in a rash with Daz but no other one

did you use the right amount of the persil?
Its concentrated so you may have used too much?

I only used a small capful AG. I don't normally use the liquid, and it looked strange using such a small amount. And when it was poured into the drawer, it just ran straight away!

I've just took the bottle round to my neighbours. She can gladly have it.

The rash was worse this morning, and on his neck and cheeks, so I knew it wasn't the washing powder.

We have a walk in NHS centre about 7 miles away, so I took Charlie this morning. He's got a viral infection. Nothing to worry about, just keep an eye on it and it'll clear. Phew!
