What's your daytime routine?

Hi

I was just wondering what your day-time routine is and how old your LO is. We've had a fairly consistent routine for about 3 months now but I'm trying something new today because they have been resisting naps.

It's just such a nightmare bringing in a new routine especially when Tom isn't having milk feeds i.e. they're not doing the same thing at the same time! LOL!

Today's routine is:

7am up and breakfast
9am Charlotte milk feed
11.30 nap
1pm lunch
2.45 Charlotte milk feed
3.15 nap
prob dinner at 5
6.20 bath
7.00 Charlotte milk feed and bed

Old routine was
6.45 up and Charlotte milk feed. Tom weetabix
nap
9am breakfast
12 lunch
12.30 nap
4.30 dinner
6.20 bath
7.00 Charlotte milk feed and bed

Not sure this is quite right as obviously Tom is short....hmmmm.....anyway...share!

How come he doesn't have his milk?

Ours changes a lot but this is basically it:
8am - Wake up, brush teeth and breakfast
9am - Change nappy, get her dressed and she watches some Fifi in her cot with her milky
9.30am - I have a shower
10am - Playtime downstairs
1-1.30pm - Lunch
2pm - Nap time
3-4pm - More playing/activities
6-7pm - Dinner time
7.30 - Bath, bottle, book
8pm - Bed

Wow, just realised what a boring routine that is!! ah.. it'll soon be changing as she is going to start some baby art/singing classes.

Long story and there are a couple of other threads on the subject but he absolutely will not have formula and I had to stop BF a few weeks back.

Broke out the Gina Ford book yesterday and she suggests a 9am nap. C is currently asleep. T screamed furiously, puked up and is now on my knee.

Decided after yesterday that I need to give them lunch earlier so the early nap seems a good idea if I can persuade them both to do it!

When Charlie was younger, he had 2 naps Helen - one in the morning and one in the afternoon. He's 18 months now, so not sure this'll help you either! He's at nursery 3 days a week so we tend to stick to the same times on the other days.

6am up and beaker of milk
8.15 breakfast (at nursery 3 days, home 4 dys)
9.45 small snack
11.30 lunch
12.00 nap (about 2 hours)
2.30 beaker of milk
4.00 dinner
6.00 biscuit
6.30 bath, then bottle and bed (yep, he still has a bottle)

Saying all this though, we had a lie in this morning until 8am!So he's not long gone down for his nap, he should be having his milk now.
