Eva's poorly

Aw I've had to take the day off work cos Eva isn't too well. She was sick all over me this morning after her milk. She is off her food and just wants to lie on me. cries when she coughs (must have a sore throat) and has had bad ears for the last few works.

I'm going to the doctors at 10.30 - what do you think they could give her? just calpol?

xx

When Calpol etc don't work, Dr's are inclined to give them antibiotics. Rebecca is on them just now, she was originally on amoxycillan for a week but still had a bad throat and chest, went back and she is on Kalicid cause she is still unwell. (and they gave her an inhaler )

I am not in agreement with antibiotics at such a young age, but sometimes they are needed.

Hope she gets on okay. Bless her

medised you can only get behind the counter so wont be on the shelves in asda ect, go to the chemist bit in there its behind them on the shelves or boots but you have to ask for it, i just prefer it because it helps them sleep which is the best thing for a poorly baby.

not much to look out for? with Banging her head but if she does go to sleep ild wake her every 1 or 2 hours if a baby does bang there head you shouldnt let them sleep to long incase they get concusion.
the doc might just give you pain killer calpol ect and say it will pass but i hate getting fobbed of with that as it only always gets worse.
before i went to the docs with Harleys cough when he was 4 weeks old he fobbed me of saying it was nothing it would pass he didnt even check him i got home there were a few spots on him next morning he was coughing so bad he couldnt breath i took him to another doc she was disgusted i had nothing sooner and Harley was covered top to toe with a viral rash.

hope you get some thing for her and the poor lil mite is better soon x x x

Sorry to hear that she's poorly and about her accident Reminds me to lower Ella's, I keep thinking she'll be ok but it would be awful for me not to change it after reading this!

I would give her calpol and keep offering her milk/water/juice and any snacks you know that she likes (Ella loves pear and also apple rice cakes). If she's no better in a day or so then I'd go docs. About her head, if she's sick a lot or over sleepy (if she's poorly it will be hard to tell the difference!) then I think it would be best to get her seen.

I'm back from the doctors. they gave her amoxycilin (antibiotics) so she mustnt be well my poor little bean.

i don't know if she did bang her head but she seems ok, doesnt seem to be hurt anywhere.

Kina, we were the same - kept thinking we must get around to lowering it and just thought there was a slim chance of it happening. I still don't get how she managed it to be honest!!!
