I'm Currently Feeling: | Baby gates So my HV said the other day... "you best start looking into baby gates". Me... nah... they don't move that quick..... ahem... oh yes they do!!
Charlotte is commando style crawling at the speed of lightening and following me about so it's time for the baby gates to begin.
It's a bit difficult to explain but besides the main stairs we have two other sets of stairs in the house of 3 or 4 steps.
How portable are babygates? Can anyone recommend a good one? |

| I have lindam baby gates, which I really like....you can move them quite easily and you don't have to screw them to the wall....hang on and I'll find you a link!
Here it is:- http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produc...EBABY+GATE.htm
Argos do quite a few, have a look:- http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...guards|9556533 |

I'm Currently Feeling: | here goes, hope this works not very good at links..........
no not workin, anyway if you look on the argos website there is a lindem easy fit flexi gate for £24.99. con- you remove it compleatly to go through. pro - it will fit quite large doorways. good if you only need to block exit occasionally. quite fiddly to get used to!
lindem extending metal gate £15.99. does the job and fits my stairway.just dont have the hard to open catch. also OH's daughter is childminder and uses these.
hope this helps |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've got Lindam ones too http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.asp...tespens/727911
though they have updated them a bit
I also have this for Jacks bedroom door as i can't ket anything small enough to fit our stairs http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Product.asp...tespens/730246
but thats a climb over one, so i guess it depends where you need them
Make sure you measure the gaps before you buy, i learnt the hard way lol |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I have Lindam gates for Chris's toddler when she comes to stay. They are again Lindam ones but I get them for £7 at the community centre, for registering with sure start.
Do you have any sure strat centres close to you? Saves a fortune I think.

I'm Currently Feeling: | rhys learnt how to open baby gates quite early on and with 2 of them they might work together at attempting to escape!
This is the only baby gate that rhys hasnt been able to open, we've had it 3 months now! http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product...69041&mcb=core |

Some are chargeable like the gates, but they offer things such as wall plugs, cooker dial covers, corcer protectors etc free of charge.
