for the past 3 nights Rhys has slept through the night without waking for a drink. the next stage is to get him to sleep in his own bed through the night. im thinking because he is in with us he does wake up in the night to cuddle us not for a drink and then falls back to sleep by himself. im now worried that when we put him in his own bed he will start waking up when he cant find us in the night!!!

has anybody else gone from co-sleeping to putting their child in their own bed? i feel that now hes stopped needing a nighttime drink this would be the right time to move him over to his own bed becayse he doesnt need to be in with us.

What age was he when you started co-sleeping?

Did you say you got him to sleep through by offering water at night?

Obviously no idea on answer but depends if your putting cot/bed in his own room or yours? Maybe start with the the in your room where he can see you when he wakes at least if not already doing that?
