Question

trying a new method to stop rhys waking up in the night

rhys wakes up at least once a night and with me being pregnant im just getting so tired! what we did lastnight was replaced giving him a bottle of milk in the night with a bottle of water... hopefully in a few nights he will realise hes not going to get milk and will *hopefully* stop waking up

has anybody else tried this method?

Ewan is 2yrs + now and still wakes in the night!
We tried the water thing and it didnt work after a while he just refused the water by just looking at it!
We have now taken his milk away totally and all he gets offered is a cup of water which we say he can either have a drink of or he goes back to sleep. he gets three chances and if he doesn take the water i tuck him back in and leave him for 5 mins.. usually he will go back to sleep by then! if no i go back and offer the water again.
Good luck!

Let me know how this works for you. I have a 18mo preemie that still wakes up at least once or twice. Sometimes he doesn't want milk at all just a changing and to be held or slept with. I was thinking about the water bottle in the middle of the night feedings. Keep me posted. I wish you all the luck..
