Aww bless, glad to hear she is ok though.. must have been scary for you. Yea, you said you left the gate open? I wouldn't have thought to do that for a baby so young (im not saying you're wrong doing it, just thought they couldn't go upstairs alone properly for a while).

This is not related at all, sorry.. but it got me thinking, do you know what age roughly they can go in their own bed? as I read on one site that a bed was suitable from 1+ years??? and I thought they had to be at least over 2.

think it depends on the child TBH as Ella has been walking since she was 10 months old shes very confident with her walking climbing ect she is really well co-ordinated and is fine going up and down stairs.

as for the bed, Ella was 18 months old, and she was fine then I think it does depend on the child I think they need to be confident walkers and good at climbing in and out of the bed to start with. Im sure there is a thread about this somewhere ???? Im hopeless at finding them though!

Apparently I did that as a kid,they found me in the middle of the street crawling happily away,thank goodness she's ok,my son has tried it but I was able to catch him in time.
