Hubby has me worried now

So we decided on the name Harry Jay ages ago, even before my BFP. DH was just laying down talking to bump and being in one of his silly moods called him Harold! Now I am worried that people will think Harry is short for Harold! What do you think?

i dont think anyone would automatically assume that, harry can be short for a few names; Harold, Henry, Harrison... or just plain Harry

I think people will make that assumption, but all you need to do is correct them. My name is Eloise, but I shortened it to Ellie. I get a lot of people calling me Eleanor, and when I correct them, they tell me only Eleanor can be shortened to Ellie. Uh, excuse me, any name beginning with "El" can be shortened to Ellie.

But it's not annoying enough to stop using Ellie It's like calling a boy Alfie, and having people call him Alfred.
