ooo sienna is a colour!!lol

Lol hi everyone this is such a daft thread but im going to put it up anyway because im really excited,
well me and my DH had a lil girl 3months ago and we called her scarlett, we always said that if we had another girl we loved the name sienna, however we then changed our minds as we said it would be lovely to carry on with names of colours and liked amber or ruby, but ive just googled sienna and guess what?it is a colour-lol sorry if i sound really dumb but i seriously didnt know that was a colour, cant wait til hubbys in from work to tell him so i know what im calling my next one if its a girl
however(if youve read this far and thanku if u have) if we had a boy next or ever,is there any colours that are out there for a boys name??hmmm thanks if u have any suggestions, were trying for our next baby feb 2011 so have plenty of time to think yet anyway xx

Well my cousin has a friend whose son is called Charlie Blue.

And Baby Spice is married to a man called Jade.

I suppose Russet (a brownish-red) would work for a boy or Grey. Or Jet (black), Moss (green) or Roan (Red) or Slate (Grey) or Steel (Silver-Grey) or Stirling (Silver-Grey). Or Cordovan (Burgundy).

They all sound more boyish than girly to me.

I just thought, you could also google colour names in other languages if you don't want to be too obvious about your colour theme or don't like the words in English.

Like in Italian the word for Red is Rosso and for Yellow it is Giallo.

A co-worker of mine has a son named Teal. I also like the name Greyson (Grey). My son's name is Jayden... & my mom often calls him "Jade"... plus i always buy her jade jewelry as gifts from my son. I love the name Saige and personally prefer it for a boy but it seems more commonly used for girls.

Glad you realized that Sienna is a color -- so pretty! Also love Ruby & Amber! I like Sapphire too, but that's not on your list.

Sienna is a reddish brown but Siena is a town in Italy. You could say she is names after the place instead of the colour!
