Yep.

Initially I told my boyfriend I wanted to name the baby after him if it was a boy. It is a boy. I did a little 'junior' research and find that children named exactly after someone else tend to have identity problems down the road. Also, his middle name is HIS fathers name and since his parents want nothing to do with us or the baby, I'm not cool with that.

So... I want to change the middle name to something else, keeping the first and last as his fathers. Daddy isn't going for it.

bleh. So I'm wanting either Matthew Jeffrey Michael or Matthew Daniel Michael, and he is set on HISNAME jr. or HISNAME II.

I'm also leaning towards Daniel as the middle name.

I had the conversation with Matt (the OH) and told him why I want to nix the Jr thing and just change the middle name, and that his son will have his first and last name which is enough to make the name what he wants, and letting me change the middle name is compromise - giving me what I want in the name. He sorta did that guy thing... the "ok." with a "but" like 5 minutes later XD (don't know if other OH's do that, but mine does lol)

I like Daniel as a middle name.

My son has his dad's name as his middle name and my daughter has my name as her middle name. i definately didn't want our names as their 1st names.

See for me growing up I always had a thing for wanting to name the first son after the father. I don't really know why... so yeah I'm perfectly fine with giving him the same first name, I just would like a different middle name.
