Ok so baby is called Ava,

Was gonna use Catherine after a good friend as a middle name, but ive changed my mind now, shes not really been there that much thru this whole thing and when she was there for me i was like 16, still counts and everything but i feel like, i dunno. i just dont wanna use it.

I was thinking of using a family name, id love to use my mums, but i dont like her name it doesnt go with Ava, and all the other girls in my fam have names i wouldnt use aswell. The only one which is useable is my grans on my dads side - Marie...

So i was thinking of Ava Caitlyn-Marie then surname which is pickles,

What do people think? it sounds better than catherine anyways doesnt it?

any other suggestions??

Hmm I'm afraid I prefer Catherine. It's timeless. Caitlyn is going to age and become old fashioned and I don't really like Marie or the double barrelled-ness.. sorry.

i love Catherine but that's my name so I'm partial to it.
Not sure it really goes with Ava though

oh dont get me wrong, i LIKE the name, i just dont think its the right reasons to use it, and im not sure it flows that well. I Dont think this friend has done nearly enough to be honoured in my daughters name, ive spoken to her about 3 times in pregnancy and seen her once.. So the reasoning behind it is putting me off now. So its more that than the actuall name itself.

What else goes with Ava?

The only other family names id use would be, laura, my sister, or Jean my great aunt who died. Marie is my gran. Margaret is my auntie, my mum and her mums names are not really an option unfortunately... Unless they were the same name but changed> gaelic or something? mums Kathleen but i would use kathy possibly with a C.

Ava marie sounds too much like ave maria the song and too many Grace's being used as a middle name so not keen on them, I like marie but as a second part of a double barrelled bit so its broken up and people wont tease her by singign the song

any other suggestions, i like Ava Catherine but its not the right one to use, i just have a feeling i shouldnt. hard to explain..
