Got the name I love but his initials would be...

............ G.O.D........!

We agreed on the name Gabriel right from the get go, if it was a boy. Sure enough we're on team blue! My boyfriend's last name is Deakin and even though we aren't married we agreed the baby would have his last name. Now my parents were a bit put off and wished that my last name (Offerein) would be for the baby. We decided to make my last name the middle name to quiet them. That wasn't the only reason though, I liked the idea of him having both last names without a hyphen. (Because Offerein-Deakin would be quite the last name!) Also I just like it... you know, it sounds nice to me. But then we realized what his initials would be. We're thinking of just ignoring it, but would that be cruel? Would having these initials bother you? Or is it even a big deal?

I dont think it would bother me too much, unless initials made aswear word or something , its not that often that you use all of your initials. He would mostly just be known as G. Deakin or Gabriel Deakin.

I agree, you hardly ever use your initials. And if he does then GOD is mildly amusing (he might even find it cool) but nothing he'll be bullied about or have to feel ashamed of. And Gabriel Offerein Deakin sounds absolutely beautiful!!!

Thanks, yeah I didn't think it was so big a deal, just making sure that the rest of the world would forgive me for it!

I dont see it as a big deal as long as its not something thats up for being teased and I dont see G.O.D. as something to tease a child about...

naa i think those initials are fine. The only initials that were really quite the one that u wouldnt want to use would be someone i knew was having a boy but didnt want any name starting with s as the middle name was thomas and the last name started with d. so s.t.d.
