We have a Maximus here! (After that bloody film!) Babys dad insists everyone calls him Maximus all the time (we're met with lots of laughs!) but my sister hates it and we call him Max, Maxi and Maxim!
I love Max as a name though, and Maxim and Maxwell are my favourite longer versions!

Max is one of our chosen names, but I just can't get to grips with the longer versions

Maximus does remind me of gladiator. DH likes it - quelle surprise!

Massimo, it's a latin name that gets shortend to Max.
