Unique or Traditional?

I'm in the unique camp but i thought it would be interesting to see how the community divides.

Plus i just worked out how to do polls and this is a good excuse!

Both! I think names can be traditional, and uncommon and different too. I'd prefer my child to have a name that had meaning behind it, rather than something I made up.

This is really interesting

I wanted to have a look at what the preportions were because i think its useful for everyone to be aware that other peoples opinions on names are based on personal preferences....

It seems like the more unusual choices get more negative or unsure comments which isnt a bad thing - its just if your a parent who likes an unusual name its useful to get some perspective on why people may dislike your suggestion of pluto compared to other peoples suggestion of paul

i voted undecided, as i think i'm both! like our 'Madeleine' is Maddilynne, which i think puts a unique twist on traditional, and i like both kinds of names! the names we have choose from baby number - one is traditional, for a little boy and i would say our girls names are more unique x
