Hiccups.....

hi....my little girl (4week and 5 days) gets a lot of hiccups. And she finds it very unpleasant. I can see it really upsetting her but i cant do anything to stop them. Does anyone know the reason behind these hiccups? and is there anything to prevent it??x

My LO gets a bit upset about his hiccups too.x

I was told they're caused by trapped wind. Not sure how to prevent but giving them sips of water or putting them to the breast to suckle stops them xx

May gets them about 3 times a day at least - she cries each time too and I used to feel really bad that I couldn't help...I have chilled out about it now tho and they make me laugh cos she sounds like a squeky toy!! The midwife says its contentment so I wouldn't worry...May used to even get them when she was in the womb!

Brooke gets hiccups a lot and theres not really a lot you can do to stop them

Aidan gets them too and he really hates them bless him. I havnt got a clue how to get rid of them but i just cuddle him and he soons settles
