Swimming question

Hi ladies bit of a silly question! Want to take LO swimming but not sure what she should wear!
I have some Huggies swim nappies and a couple of little swimming costumes so that is one option, but I have now seen the reusable swim nappies (think they are called splash about?). I like the idea of these but what do I put with it? Do I put a swimming costume over the top or just take her in that? And do you need a swim nappy underneath the resuable one?

Sorry for so many questions! Just realised today I had no idea what she should wear doh

My LO wears a swim nappy and then a happy nappy on top. I don't know if a spash about is the same as a happy nappy?

If it is the little girls in our swimming class just wear the happy nappy, they dont wear costumes on top.

I have wee swim tops and suits to go on top and have splash about nappy for the bottom as we do waterbabies in a warm pool. I use a disposable swim nappy underneath.

We just a swim nappy on him because I thought it was a bit unnecessary to buy swim trunks when he'd outgrow them before he got a chance to wear them anymore then a couple of times

I just put my LO in a huggies swim nappy and a swimming costume.

She doesn't really need the costume but we go every week and I want to get her into the routine for when she is older.

I am going to put lo in a swim nappy, some splash about shorts then a wetsuit vest like thing to keep her warm as the water is between 29-31 which is within guidelines but dont want her getting cold. Lol. xx

i have a Konfidence swim suit as despite water being 30c something its still cold and this suit keeps her warm with a re-usable nappie under it. bought a 6-12 months one so it will last.

I use a huggies disposable with a slash about happy nappy over the top just in case. A lot of swim schools require a double nappy system before they will let your baby in the pool.

I also have a splashabout body wrap I put over the top. My LO was quiet little when we first went swimming and I wanted to make sure he was warm enough.

I have bought all my second hand, we are on our second happy nappy already as they can be expensive to buy new.

Thanks everyone for your replies, Splash About nappy is the same as Happy Nappy, think I'll be getting myself one of those.

Purapura - she is 5 months old, not sure what the pool temp is, I will have to call them and find out. Would that make a difference to what she should wear??
