First Word


Ive been saying dada and mama to Charlie for weeks now every day and this morning he keeps saying dada but he was saying it after hed said loads of baby babble do you think its a coincidence or do you think he ment to say it, it did sound like he ment it but im not sure as he was doing baby babble anyway but it was very clear

When was your babies first word and what was it ? xxx

I'm not sure,t sounds to me like he picked it up from you!
First word,how fast is he growing up!

The HV said that by 8 months they should be copying things you say like mama and dada. When we say Hiya to Seth he sort of comes out with a similar noise so I think he is trying.

Sounds like Charlie is doing well!

Oscar started saying Dada/Daddy about 10 days ago now. But like you he has been saying what sounds like mama for 3 weeks tho I think that was just fluke in between baby babble lol

Max said mama at 3 months old ..first when he was angry now if i say it he dose too !

not sure they know what it means just yet

Jack has said dada & nanna distinctly, not mama, but it is during his babbling - I don't think he knows what it means as he also says baba, gaga, deedee, growls & then blows raspberries
