We had a crib in our room and a moses basket downstairs, but as soon as Sam started moving around more in the crib he'd wake himself up and end up with his legs up the side or through the bars, and he'd bang his head on the sides. By the time he was 3 months he was getting too big for it and would end up right at the top by the morning so we moved him into his cot at about 3 1/2 months. Might have done it earlier if we'd been organised enough to set up the cot in our room! We probably got more use out of the crib than the moses basket but not by much x
