Am I living in a fairytale wanting this?

I really want to go to Alton Towers for my birthday at the end of June.

DP and my mum have both said that there is no way I'l be able to leave abigail behind with her being that young.

She'll be 3 months by then and I'm hoping to be expressing by then (otherwise I obviously won't go)

What do you think am I being selfish?

Is it for the day? If you can express then I dont see the problem, but you will need to make sure she will take a bottle before you go x

I left LO for the first time ever tonight! Left him with my parents tonight so that OH and I could go out for our 2 year anniversary...Might I add it felt bloody weird him not being with me...

I don't see why you can't go, 3 months is definitely a fair enough age to leave her As long as there's food for her to have (which obviously there would be ) you'll be away laughing xx Enjoy yourself

I don't think it's selfish, your life can't completely stop because you have a buba! Plus I'm sure the grandparents would love to spend time with them.

It's my birthday in 3 weeks and if all goes to plan Ben will be staying overnight with my Mum.

Me and Ben have been in and out of hospital since he was born, so I think the OH and I deserve a night out!

Thanks all, I didn't think I was being selfish till Mum started saying how she never had a day out after I was born and she'll only be 3 months old!! Made me doubt myself.

Not selfish at all. If your LO will take the bottle and you're leaving them with people you trust then a day apart is absolutely fine.

Me and hubby are going to a concert at the 02 for our 1st wedding anniversary when our little girl will be 8 weeks old, my parents have agreed to look after her for the evening. I'm a little nervous about how i'll feel going out for the evening without her but I don't think we're being selfish by having an evening just the 2 of us.

That'll be fine! As long as the logistics can be sorted (ie food, childcare etc) I see absolutely no reason why you couldn't leave her for the day.

Of course, you could always get someone to come with you who doesn't like the rides and they can look after your LO - Alton Towers has some lovely gardens etc. which would be nice to walk round (if it is a pleasant day).
