Nights out and leaving LO :-(

Hi ladies
I don’t really know why I’m posting, suppose just hoping you’ll make me feel better!!
Me and my hubby are off out tomorrow night (second time since LO was born) My sister is having LO overnight – he’s 11 months old. Although I’m looking forward to going out, I also have that sinking feeling in my stomach about leaving LO.
He’s not the best sleeper so I worry how’s he’s going to be, I also feel bad knowing that my sister will have a disturbed night!
It makes me think is it really worth the bother!!
Do any of you ladies feel like this??

xx

All the time...Mine is coming up to 5 months...I have never left her overnight. Been to a wedding night doo for a couple of hours and the cinema twice...all of these times my stomach churned. Crazy feeling hey?

I can imagine. I haven't left my LO with anyone else whilst i've been out let alone overnight so I can imagine you feel upset about it. I'm sure he'll be fine

hmm, I've left Laila twice overnight with my mum (would never leave her with anyone else) and yeah, I feel quite bad and I miss her (txt mum all the time!) but I think *you* time is really important.. my OH is away at the moment so i am with baby literally 24/7, don't get me wrong, I love her and all the responisibility that comes with, but it is also nice to relax with a glass of wine and have a good old natter with my friends! x

Thanks for your replies.

We both lost our parents so my sister is the only babysitter we have. I'm sure he'll be fine....It would be so much easier if I could have someone to babysit at our house while he was asleep!

We left Imi early for this reason as I didn't want to keep waiting.

Just remember, LO will be fine and in this day and age if you're needed its easy to get hold of you x

Yes I feel the same as you. I am supposed to be out Saturday and am trying to think of excuses not to go! Once I am out I am usually fine but would prefer not to sometimes. Glad I am normal!!
