We have loads of bibs, and I've never used a single one yet; we've found it much more effective to tuck a baby washcloth under her collar instead. That way when milk runs down her chin, the cloth catches it whereas it could roll right under a bib. Plus it's nice and soft to wipe baby's mouth with too.

I wouldn't pre-buy too many dummies as you may find baby only accepts one particular kind - Andrew only seems to like Mam! Once you've got that sussed, you can then buy more.

Bib - we have loads, Andrew gets through a couple per feed.

Defo get loads of bibs - if not for feeding then for catching dribble and drool as they start to teethe...their clothes get soaked without them!

Dummies - don't buy too many at the start - your LO may hate the ones you buy!! My LO hates MAM and TT but loves Avent - these are good cos they come with their own cap to put on the teat when they aren't being used (as opposed to having to put them in a box)

I would say you need one or two more, but wait until you see if LO will take the kind you've already got. I normally put a spare in the cot at night as it can be a bit of a hassle trying to find the one thats slipped out LO's mouth in the dark at night.

You can NEVER have too many bibs.

I spent a small fortune on dummies and she never took to them lol! She prefers her fingers/thumb/fist As for bibs, you can never have too many regardless of it being milk feeds or solids! Newborns can spit up quite alot and as they get older, they really dribble too. I'm forever changing Evie's bibs and I must have about 30 + bibs

I have about 10 dummies lol as it took a while to find one she liked. over 20 bibs and still not enough as she is a dribble monster.

We bought a pack of 2 dummies and then when it was clear LO liked them we bought another pack of 2. He only has them to soothe himself for a couple mins sometimes then spits them out. Doesn't need them to sleep.

Bibs - totallyutterly useless! The necks no matter how they look like they fit never do, so the milk dribbles between the bib neck and the baby's skin so their tops and necks get milky anyway. I think bibs are for toddlers!!! Also, I bought some really pretty bibs with embroidered stuff on and all that - even rubbisher as they aren't very absorbant! AND, I bought nice fabric ones --- rubbish again as, unless they have a plastic back, they soak right through.

I have about 20 muslin cloths and I fold into a triangle and wrap around LO. This leaves no gaps between his neck and the cloth, is thick enough to not soak through to his clothes, leaves his hands free and also leaves a pointy bit to dab his mouth with!

In short,
4 dummies of same brand as bottle
at least 10 muslin cloths
NO BIBS!
