I feel lousy

Hi gals,

any ideas?? since i had the baby i have been ill at least once a day post birth it was just gassy and bringing up flem which i put down to the birth but as the days have gone on i have stopped eating very much (drinking loads) and flem has changed to full vomit cant eat more than a slice of toast and pumping or drinking milky drinks makes it worse or triggers it.

Since birth my back has been sore well not surprised given it took them 2 hours and a couple of attempts to put it in. Now also getting pain up to my neck?

I am on diclofenac which has vomiting, loss if appetite as side effects think i am safe to stop taking to see if its this?

Any ideas? is this birth related i want to stay strong to feed baby..

Loopy

hunny i have no real adviced but id speak to your midwife asap, if your past midwife care then ring your hospitals delivery suite as your still lower then 28 post partum.
they have a dutie to make sure your fit and well before discharging you.
i got an infection 6 days after birth so they didnt discharge me when they should have.

diclofenic (sp) is an anti immflamatry, (sp) id contact your delivery suite or midwife to be sure hunny.

xx

Are you still swollen from the birth? Have you lost weight after the birth?

Only asking, cause I also had c-section, got severely high BP after they took catheter out that rose really quick over 3 days as I wasn't peeing all my fluids out. By the time I got home my weight was only 1kg less than I was at full term with Arielle, and BP was up to 158/110 (when during preg it only got to max of 130/95).

I was also feeling rubbish, queasy but no vomiting, and couldn't quite put my finger on why.... could only point out my swelling was bothering me.

It was because I was drinking too much water!!! (Hubby estimated 6L every day) Like you I got really thirsty, but wasn't feeling like eating much. Only thing I really noticed was I was more swollen than even when I was pregnant. Still can't believe how much water I was going through!

I was told by GP to limit fluid intake to no more than 2L max per day. Then I lost 11kg in 4 days!!! And felt 1000%

If you think its the meds, maybe when you talk to midwife/doctor they could give an alternative to try?

Hope you figure it out and feel better soon!!!

Thanks for replying tummy is not swollen just looks like someone has dumped some bread dough to proove on it so it's no different to pre pregnancy. Also I know I have not had more than 2 litres of water ad I drink bottles so I monitor that.

Feel better this morning now I have slept some...

Get to a doctor to be checked out, especially as you had a C section. It could be anything from an infection to damage to your intestines or it could just be the medication. Either way you need medical help.
