Constipation

I remember my MW saying something about water with a bit of orange juice in - is it fresh orange or cordial or what?

Fins really struggling to poo, straining like mad and whats coming out is rock hard adult type poo!

i tried just water and he spat it back at me!

Hi Emma, havent heard of this but I'd say it'd be fresh orange juice, hope he feels better soon

when my lo seemed to be struggling to poo, mw told me to take him to the doctor if he had hard stools otherwise not to worry. my lo didnt, it was just his normal kind when it arrived after 5 days.he still only goes every 4 or 5 days but this is just his norm and i bf so its fine. how do u feed? if u bf i would call your hv/doc and see what they advise but im not sure about ff, maybe someone else could advise. cooled boiled water on its own is supposed to help, but otherwise im not sure about the orange juice either sorry im rubbish help hope he feels beter soon big hug xxx

A friend's mum who was a hv said to move their legs around with or without nappy on.
Hold under the knees and rotate their hips gently moving the legs in a circular motion and up and down. This sometimes helps H to get things moving! He loves doing it too as I sing to him and pretend he's dancing!
