I'm 25 and when i get the 'two children so young how do you manage?' speech i just reply... 'well after working with the reception class all day, 2 is easy!' (It seems when people get the hint that you work and obviously know somehing about children they shut up.)
Or i sometimes just exagegerate 'ABSOLUBTLEY LOVE IT..WANT A WHOLE CLASS' or i say 'the more children you have in your youth the more family to keep me in my old age!' xx

when i was in hospital i was the only one in the whole ward that was on my 2nd child (at 26) apart from one girl who was 18 the rest of the woman who came and went were all 30+ and was surprised to find they were all asking me for advice on 'what do i do'

But yeh i feel like i am getting a talking down to all the time from health professions and i am an old mum so to speak lol, i think i am doing a great job personally and i tend to stay away from HV's if i dont need to go as i cant be bothered with the 'speech' about either feeding or what i am feeding them etc which i know is what i will get at the moment if i go see them.

yeah .. its pretty annoying.

i was 18 when i got pregnant .. and was 19 when i had Willow ..
( i turn 20 the 30th )
and i get bad looks FROM FAMILY MEMBERS.
they judged me so quickly and its stupid.
but i honestly could care less what they think.
if they start talking crap about me i get up smile at them and walk away

i mean my cousin has 3 kids and shes my age ..
not that theres anything wrong with having 3 kids at my age ..
but theres something wrong with it when her first son lives with her mom
shes his legal guardian.
my cousin has the second one only because her FOB #2 takes him out and buys
my cousin and her 2nd baby clothes and stupid shit.
and shes about to have her 3rd baby .. and shes givng that one to her sister.
she doesnt care about her kids. she thinks there toys.
its sad.
its people like that .. that give us a bad rep.

i could have 5 kids right now and be able to parent them better then someone in there 40s.( no offense to anyone just trying to givean example )
i know someone whos 41 with 6 girls and she doesnt care about them.
she only had them for the money from the government so she wouldnt have to work ..
she said it herself!

people need to stick there noses somewhere else and miind there damn business!!

Is it just my opinion, or is being a mother a much harder "job" than having to go out 6 days a week to earn a living??

Grrrr my HV the other day kept telling me to put LO in his crib and leave him to cry himself to sleep. I kept telling her, he's not tired, he's hungry, he's due a feed. But she kept carrying on as if I didn't know what my baby wanted. I don't run every time he cries (although I did the first few days) and I don't "spoil" him, but even if I did..so what he's my baby and I will do things MY way.
I don't really get the "young mum" comments even though I'm 17 and look younger. But if any one did say anything, My god they'd get a mouthful back!

i had 2 people tell me to get an abortion 1 an older lady whom i worked with and another some religous person then i was pushed around by my doctor because i am younger and despite it ive ignored every onebecause i KNOW i am a good mom. my OH mom told off then older lady i worked with saying i was a good mom. i know alot of "younger moms" who go party and hand there kids over to there parents but i havnt been away from my baby more then long enough to take a shower since getting home. i got some comments about co-sleeping but its what works for us and helps me with breast feeding. ever since i got her weighed my dad has said a few things but every time i just say i must be doing somthing right for her to be gaining a pound a week. TBH i hate when people try judging me or telling me i am wrong. my baby has a clothes, toys, places to sleep, and food and me and her dad and we love her and no one can tell me i am doing wrong without me fighting with them till the relize they are wrong

I didn't get the young mum comments.... In fact I got the opposite - Oh you're 30, take it you didn't really want kids then? You must find it soooo hard!

Cheeky sods. I had 3 miscarraiges and it took me 12yrs to have my little girl, I'm fully qualified and experienced in childcare AND I have a step daughter....
