Totally agree they also judge people of any age.. its just when they start the convo with 'well your a young parent' with that patronising tone.. gets my goat ! lol

I get tutted at in the street, patronising comments etc. When I was heavily pregnant I went to Iceland to get some stuff for the cafe at work. This woman in front of me at the till decided to give me a lovely supportive chat on how hard it was for her to be a single teen mum and how lucky we are with benefits in England (she was Portugese I think). I nodded and smiled politely and refrained to inform her I was a full time working (and studying for my MSc), home owning married 23 year old. I look a lot younger than I am though so get a lot of crap.

i get that too sometimes and im 24. people seem to forget that back in the way when our mothers had us early twenties was the "normal" age to have kids and you were weird if you had a baby in your late twenties!

Yes well, *flicks hair*, I must look a lot younger than my 28 years because I had this one day in town while out with Amber. She was in her pram crying herself to sleep (she does that) and I was jiggling the pram when this older lady came up to me and said 'that it hen, you just ignore her, you can see shes sleepy, you'll get the hang of this parenting stuff when your both a bit older.'

I said 'well seeing as how she is number 3, I should hope I've gotten the hang of it by now!'

With DS2 I was 20 and never got the young parent thing, with DS2 I was 24 and got it and now with Amber I'm 28 and STILL getting it! Come on!

me and my OH live with my mom because he is at university nearby and we cant really afford our own home - this CLEARLY means that i palm my son off to his nana 24-7! people dont understand that he is MY baby and i am perfectly capable of looking after him (otherwise i wouldnt have had a baby...!) but because i am soooo young (21) clearly im irresponsible enough to give him to someone else to look after :/

plus i got a dirty look and a tut tut tut when i got ID'd for buying a 15 certificate film when i was heavily pregnant - she was soon shocked when she saw my real age!

Its funny how my docs have changed. Mine made a comment regarding TTC at 21(come on I was 21! I miscarried twice and got a new bfp and she said "well if you miscarry again you better start using protection )

....and now wont dare question me as they know alex was an extreme preemie and have no idea what to say to us.
