Forward facing in pram

Elliott is now 18 weeks old and staying awake more when we go for a walk. Would it be a bad idea to have him facing forwards now as he really likes to have a look around when we are out and about. I still have him parent facing at the moment but do think he would enjoy seeing more of the world at times (I have a Britax Vigour 3 that is easy to change from forward facing to parent facing if needed).

What do you/did you all do wiith your LO's? I sometimes face him forwards in the baby carrier and then turn him around when he gets tired or I think it is too cold for his litte face.xx

my LO loved it when he first faced outwards...was really fascinated by everything, but we usually turn it to rear face when he's sleepy as he sleeps better..

Hope your LO enjoys it

I still have Brady parent facing, I sit him up more so that he can see what's going on and he's perfectly happy. I have had him forward facing a couple of times and tbh he was fine then too but I like to see him and be able to talk to him and describe things etc. I've read that this is better for their language development as well.

I sit Elliott up so that he can have a look around as he is so inquisitive I was worried about facing him forwards as I do like to see his face, expressions etc (when he is forward facing in the baby carrier I am constantly looking in shop windows so that I can see his reflection etc )!! I am always chatting to him as well which he loves (and I think he's learning from this as he is one of the most talkative babys at the baby club!!) so maybe for the minute I'll keep him as he is.x
