Baby shampoo - any recommendations??

Just wondering what baby shampoo you use and whether you would recommend it.

Im currently using Johnsons yellow one but Im sure its a bit drying and Im not that keen on the small. LO does have some dry skin on his head (perhaps very mild cradle cap) so I would like something a bit more moisturising. Looking in the supermarkets there doesn't seem to be much choice plus the own brand ones looked and smelt just liked Johnsons.

Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance x

i use the body shop one and it is absolutely lovely, it leaves louies hair so soft and fluffy and it smells AMAZING
however i have heard that you can get an E45 shampoo that is suitable for babies which would clear up the dry skin

I'd say don't use any, unless you think LO really needs it. Baby skin is so sensitive, that even baby products can cause irritation. They don't get that dirty either, so not much need.
My doc said that she reckons lots of dry skin problems in babies are just down to bath products.

xx

Fins hair gets greasy within hours of washing it, dont think i could not use a shampoo! and he has soooo much hair!! I used the lavender johnsons one last night - doesnt seem as drying as the yellow one, but i use dentinox every other day to keep the cradle cap away

the original johnsons one is well known for causing cradle cap!

i'm still looking for one that i really like!

yes i agree with this. at some point (i imagine this to be far away) when she actually could use a good hair washing i plan on using Dr. Bronners baby mild liquid soap (organic and fair trade) diluted with water, as i use Dr. Bronners for my own hair. mmm the lavender kind.

I use simple for logan with all his bath products. No colours or fragrances and great for dry skin!

I use the Johnsons one in a purple bottle, with lavender.

It smells gorgeous the whole night and next day, also good if washing their hair at night with the lavender.

Izzy has never really had dry skin anyway - so I wouldn't know if this is good or bad - but it didn't give her dry skin iykwim!

Thanks for all the suggestions. Just remembered that I have some body shop products in the cupboard so will try this next.

I do like the idea of not using anything but like Emma we have a greasy hair problem. Literally an hour after washing it is greasy again! Plus he has a fair bit of hair.
