I have given Mika an ounce or two of peppermint water when he is gassy. It works wonders!

Please, PLEASE DO NOT give babies water unless advised by at LEAST your GP preferably a paediatrician!

Joseph had water from a few days old, just a few sips at it and he was always fine.

The HV said it was okay and he enjoyed it, we didn't use it as a way to fill him up between feeds or force him to sleep through and he still enjoys it now.

Best to ask your doctor or midwife if you are feeling worried though.
