My OH not only didn't get me a card/flowers/chocolates from my LO, he refused to say Happy Mother's Day at all to me even tho he sat on the phone to his mum saying Happy Mother's Day, with me sitting across the room!! Then he sat on the sofa all day watching rugby occasionally holding Bubs so that i could continue cleaning/sorting out the house!!
THANKS!!
I wouldn't mind but, as it was our first one i thought he might have got a card?!?!?!
Sob sob sob!
xx

Mine was pretty rubbish too. I was dragged to this big family do (OH's family), they are all really loud and I hardly know them so it wasn't exactly what I wanted to do for my first mothers day. In addition, LO decided he didn't want thousands of people in his face and so had a hysterical screaming fit which meant I couldn't relax and eat my lunch (OH's dad was holding him and told me to go back to the table and eat my dinner- easier said than done when you can hear your LO screaming the place down!!!). Grrr. Rant over....

I didn't expect the world, but at least something nice.

I got 2 cards from my little man, which are great and that was it then.

We DID go to town on saturday and I could have choosen whatever i wanted, but that's not the point. I wouldn't take him to town on fathers day and tell him he can choose whatever he wants to. MEN!

He ordered pizza in the evening, so at least I didn't had to cook, and he promised me a fab present for our 2nd wedding anniversary on the 28th.
He better got something totally amazing in mind to make up for this mothers day and for the fact that he was away in afghan on our 1st wedding anniversary. lol

yep - mine was shite too.

We weren't speaking from the night before when he ignored me and left me on my own with LO at a family party all evening.

He didn't get up in the night with LO for once and then we spent the whole day driving back on motorways for four hours - WITHOUT SPEAKING A WORD!!!!!

I too made father (to be) day special last year and am so pis*ed off that he didn't bother going overboard. Me and my brother have always gone OTT with my mum and he knows that.

Grr hate them all

Yup, another crap one here too. Given that we agreed to do nothing for our anniversary, or valentines, I really expected something more than a card (even some hand picked flowers from the garden would have done!) this was our 1st mothers day, and seeing as i didnt get as much as a thank you for giving birth, I really thought yesterday would be special. But it was just another sunday, for which i cried all evening, and went online and bought myself a present, which was ok, but DH could have really made the effort

Lets see how he likes that fact I'll ignore Fathers day in June!

Sorry to hear some of you had a bad day

I enjoyed mine, got a card and OH had traced LO's hand in it. We took LO swimming for the 1st time, then we went for a carvary meal. I didnt get chocs or flowers, but i got a card and spent some quality time with my little family so that was enough for me.
