Magic Sleep Aid...

Our downstairs loo!

Hazel has been fighting naps with sooo much force the past week or so I can rock her to sleep but it was taking 10-15 mins and my leg/back just can't handle it.

In a moment of desperation, I shut us in the downstairs loo (H in sling) with the light off (no windows)... I hummed slightly, and bang, she was gone!

Needless to say, I shall be repeating this procedure and instructing hubby to do the same.

Brilliant!! Great when you find something that works. Us mums have to be so innovative don't we?

Lol! Have you tried white noise with her? Works a charm with William.....! Don't stay away anywhere without it! William also sleeps better if the rooms darkened, getting harder now the summers approaching (slowly!).

Don't tempt me!

Actually she panicked ever so slightly (turned her head to look side to side a few times) and it was only because she was in the sling and i cuddled and hummed that it was ok I think. But she went spark out in no time at all.

It did make me think... I'm going to put her bed in the cot during the day, because I have black out blind ready in the nursery... I wanted to be all relaxed and wait for the sleep to come to us, but the poor wee thing isn't able to give in to sleep during the day just at the minute

Wish I had a downstairs loo - do you think the cupboard under the stairs will work just as well?
