She slept!!! Woohoo!!!

Well I'll start from yesterday as that's where I tink I started going wrong.

Lucy didn't sleep well at all yesterday lunchtime so when it came to her 40 minute late afternoon nap at 4.30, all she wanted to do was sleep. Anyway, I tried to get her to sleep and she wouldn't go down so I held. She fell asleep in my arms and I realised how much I missed holding my baby fast asleep....MISTAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She went to bed fine at 7.30 as usual and stayed asleep until 4.00 but then seriously would not go back to sleep, she doesn't feed in the night ever and just needs a bit of encouragement to go back to sleep, we were getting up every 5 minutes - nightmare!!!!!!! By 5 she was in with us and slept til 7.

Now this morning she would only have 30 minutes, there was no getting her back to sleep and so I was dreading this lunchtime sleep, but yey, she's had 2 and a half hours!!!!! It's a miracle, I have had to go back to put the dummy in a couple of times, as I haven't started the self soothing teaching yet!!!!!

Just thought I'd share

Amy xxx

Woohoo!!! It is so great when they finally sleep for a decent length of time, you just know the rest of the day will go so much better, don't you?

Clearly spoke to soon, she now is having none of her afternoon snooze - normally has 45 minutes at 4.15, I've been trying 30 minutes and have just left her babbling in her cot!!!

Yay that's good about the long nap Isabella has recently started waking at about 4am and not going back to sleep without a bottle. I thought it was a growth spurt coz it happened two nights in a row then stopped but she has done it the last two nights again I'm tired lol! How did you get Lucy back to sleep at this time? Or should i feed her coz she's looking for it? Although she's been sleeping through for months now Sorry to gatecrash Amy but Lucy and Isabella seem quite similar Has she had good naps since the other day? Hope you're ok xxx
