I gained 31 lbs with pregnancy and lost all but 3 lbs by my 6 week check. I was too afraid of having a "big" baby (ouch!), so I really watched what I ate. Plus, anything sweet gave me heartburn so I def couldn't go overboard otherwise I'd suffer all night. And the fact he was 3.5 weeks early, so I didn't add those last pounds and get really big with him.

I make sure I eat smaller meals (overeating used to be my weakness for years and I was overweight for about 10 years) and I go for at least an hour walk with LO everyday. I also think breastfeeding helped me lose the weight quicker too.

I put on 15kg during my pregnancy, Since having my daughter I've lost nearly 17kgs! It took me 6 weeks to get back into my pre pregnancy clothes, I'm breast feeding so thats helped and I haven't changed my diet.

i was 9st 3 before I was pregnant, I went up to 12 and half stone, I think I held a lot of water. Within 3 weeks of having him I was back down to 10 and half stone and now I am 9st 6 and quite happy with it. xx

i was nearly 12st just before caleb then at the end of pregnancy i was 15st. i think a week or so after i was 13st because i carried alot of fluid on my legs and feet. in the 14 weeks since having him i am now 12st 3 but want to be 10 &1/2 st so i am at my ideal weight. i think i am slowly loosing a pound a week. i find i miss lunch and just have breakfast and tea and toast before i go to bed. I'm always busy either feeding, changing and doing housework. i hope it gets warmer soon so i can walk more x

Some people probably think I'm one of the "lucky" few but I hate being this underweight as I'm just skin and bones and look like I have an eating disorder and it's so fustrating not being able to get back up to a healthy weight again I've started wearing baggy clothes all the time nowadays to hide the fact I'm so skinny as my husband gets upset about the looks I get from people for being so thin
Blondie I sympathize completely!

Very interesting that we were both in the non-bump club and had the same issues once LO was born. I ate tons during pregnancy (and now!) but only gained 16 lbs (was 126lbs pre-preg). After LO was born I had a low appetite for a few weeks (for the first time in my life!!) - That, plus breastfeeding put me at my pre-preg weight almost right away. Ever since I have been eating like mad so I can continue breastfeeding because my supply gets affected and my weight drops. But still with all the eating, my weight is almost 10lbs less than it used to be

I have food with me all the time and want to fit my clothes and not have people ask if I am dieting all the time!! I don't look too bad now (would look much better with another 10lbs), and I really don't want to lose more. I even eat at night when I wake to feed LO. I do worry about being able to continue breastfeeding as well! So I am in the same boat.

I don't normally respond to these threads since people would think I should be happy, but it is really stressful to be monitoring my weight to make sure I can bf. I have no idea why my body seems to be eating itself! We want to TTC #2 sooner rather than later and it really worries me - I want to be able to carry a healthy LO!!!

xx

Sympathise with you both, though I am managing to put weight back on now.
I lost over 5stone in pregnancy due to hyperemesis. I was rather underweight once Theo was born and the first week I couldnt stop loosing weight. I was told I should stop BFing but I said no and instead starting drinking these nasty protein nutrient drink things (much ick) Im trying to keep a diet of 5000 calories a day to gain weight, continue BF and expressing for Freddie. Whoever thought trying to consume that many calories would be hard....its harder than I imagined! I also have to be really careful how much exersise I do, if I go up and muck out the horses etc and ride it can mean I dont eat for two hours and by the next day I can have lost 2-4lb I eat almost constantly, I drink the nasty icky things through the night whenever I wake up, I eat shed loads of protein (good job I like eggs)
I get REALLY fecked off when people tell me how lucky I am to have lost all the weight (I was overweight before but Id choose being overweight to being underweight any day of the week) and how nice it must be not to have to watch my diet etc etc but tbh things are much harder when you are on the skinny side, you get cold easier, tired easier, its a massive task to constantly have to eat (and I like food, I have no weird issues with it) etc etc.

I still have to put on about another 6lb before Im considered within a normal weight range for my height, I need to put on about another stone and a half before I am a fair weight for my build.

I weighed 9st 4 before I got pregnant, lost 20lbs in the first 14 weeks and then towards end of pregnancy weighed 11st 3. Now weigh 9st 11. My midwife gave me a lecture as she said I was looking thin!
